What We Do We are not here to offend, inflame, insult or belittle. We are here to listen and discuss and have some fun along the way while learning more about our fellow man. We certainly are not here to provide any hard core statistical analysis or data on stereotypes. We are here to promote discussion and provide a certain amount of entertainment on the issue of stereotypes. That is our purpose.

If you are someone considering joining our site, please be assured that your anonymity is of the utmost importance to us. We expect and require our users respect the rights and humanity of all other users on our site.
Our Story StereotypeHype was originally conceived when there was a need for some reasearch information on stereotypes. After looking extensively, we determined that the type of and volume of information we were seeking did not exist, or perhaps just wasn't easily found at the time. Once we came to this basic conclusion, we began trying to figure out WHERE we might find the information we sought.
But in true group discussion fashion, a detour from the original point was taken and we began to wonder why there were not very many web sites out there acting as sounding boards or discussion areas for the topic of stereotypes. Why there were not many sites out there with solid statistical information regarding stereotypes and the people impacted by them. We had many stereotype questions to ask about, and also many stereotypes which we wanted to dispute. Our "discussion" snowballed quickly into group resignation.
Then one brilliant member of our group, our now "fearless leader" had an epiphany: Why not create our own site? Why not make a place where people can come and tell us if the stereotype about them is really true. Why not make a place where they can come and ask about a stereotype they may have heard about wanting to know if it is true or not.
Cool! Let's do it! So we did. And here we are. We certainly are not here to provide any hard core statistical analysis or data on stereotypes so please do not use this site for such purposes. We are here to promote discussion and provide a certain amount of enlightenment and entertainment on the issue of stereotypes. That is our purpose.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy yourselves!
